Meet Our Providers
Majestic Mind is led by two dual board-certified nurse practitioners who believe mental health care should be personal, unhurried and built around you.
DC, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC · Founder
Dr. Peter Gala is a dual board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, and the founder of Majestic Mind. His clinical career spans more than two decades, beginning as a Doctor of Chiropractic — years of hands-on patient care that taught him how deeply the body and mind are intertwined, and how often emotional suffering hides behind physical complaints.
Over more than a decade as a Family Nurse Practitioner, he built extensive experience across urgent care, primary care, and long-term care, treating patients through every stage of life. He has cared for active-duty servicemembers and retired military — a population where trauma, sleep disturbance, and moral injury often go unspoken — and has devoted much of his career to serving underserved communities, where he saw firsthand how limited access keeps people from the mental health care they need. That experience is a driving reason Majestic Mind exists as a telemedicine practice: to bring psychiatric care to Coloradans wherever they are.
He brings extensive hands-on experience treating schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, nightmares, insomnia, personality disorders, and grief and loss. His approach blends careful diagnosis, thoughtful medication management and genuine partnership — always attentive to how sleep, stress and physical health shape mental wellbeing.
"Healing starts when someone finally feels understood. My job is to listen first, then bring every tool I have to help you move forward."
ND, MSN, RN, FNP-C, PMHNP-C
Dr. Alexis Smith is a dual board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner whose training spans nursing, family medicine, psychiatry, and integrative medicine. This breadth shapes how she practices: she takes a whole-person approach, considering not only a patient's symptoms, but also their health, history, circumstances, biology, and goals.
She works with people navigating anxiety, depression, mood changes, trauma-related symptoms, life transitions, and everyday stress and overwhelm. She is also experienced with complex, layered cases, including patients whose symptoms cross diagnostic lines or have not responded to previous treatment. Her care includes psychiatric evaluation, medication management, supportive therapy, and lifestyle-informed strategies, always built collaboratively around each patient's unique needs rather than a one-size-fits-all plan.
She believes good mental health care should feel safe, respectful, and unhurried, and that patients do their best work when they feel genuinely heard and understood. Her aim is to create a space where people feel supported and empowered as active participants in their own care.
"My goal is to help people feel less alone in their suffering, more connected to themselves, and hopeful about the path forward."
